The Story Behind the Artwork

Moonwalk draws the viewer into an imagined lunar landscape: an unexplored terrain shaped by craters, fractures, shadows and rugged geological formations.

Deep black tones spread across its sculpted surface, surrounding areas of graphite grey and metallic silver that emerge from the darkness. The raised formations catch the light, while the deeper cavities remain in shadow, causing the appearance of the artwork to shift subtly throughout the day.

Its raw textures and irregular edges give the piece the character of a fragment extracted from another world. Some areas resemble eroded rock, cooled volcanic matter or the scarred surface of the Moon, creating a strong tension between darkness, light and material.
